Today I have four projects in a single post. I can explain… Eco Paper blog has a challenge going on. The idea is to use one of their dies in an unexpected way. Ten of the DT members did their out of the box takes and then who wishes to participate will create a new piece, inspired by any of the DT’s works. There are a few rules to follow so that you might win something, namely being in social media, which doesn’t apply to me. Nevertheless, I like to have my creative juices flowing, so I decided to participate anyway.
These are the projects I created with the only Eco Paper die that I have.
I’m entering Julia’s challenge with this mixed media notebook (#1). Same colors, same style, but a different die. Mine is a corner die for photos. I was thinking about using for albums when I’ve purchase it, but I also thought that it could be good for other creative purposes, not knowing which ones back then… Now I’m very happy that I have it, as I find it so pretty, special and versatile. You can see it in the center of the photo.
I’m also entering the monthly inspiration challenge (#2) with another gorgeous mood board, this time dedicated to the colors of Provence, lavender, lilac… yam! I was mostly inspired by colors, flowers, but also the white frame, lace, sachet and tag. Speaking of tag, can you see the embossed pattern on it? I used the homemade embossing plate created with the same dies (#2A).
If you have an accurate vision, you’ll be able to see the teeny tiny felt basket with linen flowers (#3). Yes, I made it with the same die. Sewed a safety pin to the back, and I will wear it in a sweater, or a jacket :)!
I did also a few experiments with wool thread, but I was running out of time, so I’m not happy with the result (#4), but with more time, I’m sure that those dies will be great in many decorative ways… the possibilities are truly endless!
See you soon!
Thank you for stopping by.
