Is it okay to have a little bit of grunge in an elegant card? I sure hope so, because that’s what I have today :).

This is an eco-friendly, upcycled card. I used an old card from 2 or 3 years ago and gave it a swirl twist. I only had the glittered circles from the original project, and so I decided to dress them up using a beautiful die. You can see it in the photo bellow.

It is to be used as a negative cutting die, but there is a bonus – you’ll end up with gorgeous swirls, the positive cuts, which are great to embellish. The gold detail in the butterfly is from the Altenew frame that came in the card kit. I may or may not have bought the kit mainly because of that frame.

I used a left over oval frame from another project, cutting it in 3 parts that I heat embossed with gold tinsel EP, in a grungy style. What do you think? Does it look too much? Sometimes I think so… but it isn’t a definitive judgement :).

Its absolutely stunning, Cris! Just the perfect wedding card, if you are ok with the colors! I absolutely love the gold and all the glittery goodness! And the butterfly and frames looks fabulous!
PS: I think I wouldn’t complain if you had bought it for the frame, I might have done the same! 😉
