Is it okay to have a little bit of grunge in an elegant card? I sure hope so, because that’s what I have today :).
This is an eco-friendly, upcycled card. I used an old card from 2 or 3 years ago and gave it a swirl twist. I only had the glittered circles from the original project, and so I decided to dress them up using a beautiful die. You can see it in the photo bellow.
It is to be used as a negative cutting die, but there is a bonus – you’ll end up with gorgeous swirls, the positive cuts, which are great to embellish. The gold detail in the butterfly is from the Altenew frame that came in the card kit. I may or may not have bought the kit mainly because of that frame.
I used a left over oval frame from another project, cutting it in 3 parts that I heat embossed with gold tinsel EP, in a grungy style. What do you think? Does it look too much? Sometimes I think so… but it isn’t a definitive judgement :).
Challenges I’m entering:
Scrap Therapy “Change” – I was mostly inspired by the warm shades and golden skies. This moodboard is very relaxing and gorgeous, with a powerful message!
Stamps: Altenew – Bejeweled.
Dies: Altenew – Frame; CaS – Stitched Rectangles; Fantasy – Elegant Swirls; MFT – Double Stitched Oval; Sizzix – Circles.
