Hello again, THDC fans and friends!

Today I’m back with a mid-challenge inspiration post, which means a new card for the THDC #4. Just in case you wish to join in the fun, you can find the beautiful inspiration picture below and, if you are a sketch wizard, you’ll also find a great sketch to feel inspired. Just check the photo, if you haven’t already done so:

For the making of this card, I started by stamping some Studio Calico apples and leaves using Distress inks, and then fussy cut. In a panel of watercolor paper, I positioned and stamped two cute caterpillars from a Hero Arts stamp set called “Love Bug by Lia” (you can find similar sets in the THD shop), and adhered the apples in place. Covered the apples with CWS and did a little splattering. I tore the top of that piece, curling the right corner so the stamped bee from the same HA stamp set could show in the card base. I adhered a piece of Prima designer paper, related to the theme, to the bottom of the card. This was inspired by Carolyn Peeler, because I just love how she mix and match vintage papers with modern images, colors and techniques with stunning results.

You're the APPLE of my EYE

This is it from me in my last post as GD for THDC. Thank you so much for having me, I was absolutely thrilled with this chance!

Thank you for stopping by.

Wonderful creation, Cris! I love how you’ve added those bugs.. makes everything look very ‘nature’ish. And I like that torn and bent edge…hmmm…I must think of using those in some card of mine too! Thanks for the inspiration!

Love! The mixing of the vintage paper and rather mod uncovered caterpillars–sigh
