Are you having a bit of Summer fun? I hope so.
Today I have some exciting news. Remember this card that I submitted to a few challenges? One of those was Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 363 where my card was chosen as one of the Sweet Six. Recently Naki invited me to be the Surprise Sweetie for challenge 368 going live today, July 24th. Of course I said yes to the fantastic honour of being a guest for Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 368.
This is a color challenge and the luscious palette is composed of Magenta, Midnight and Papaya. I wanted to avoid the most obvious theme using this palette – sunset by the sea – so I’ve put my thinking cap on and decided to choose the innovative theme of… boats and sea… completely different, right :)?
I started by spraying a few pieces of watercolor paper in the given colors, using Dylusions inks and a mix of perfect pearls and water, then die cut a bunch of boats, many more than the ones I needed… After this, I trimmed a few panels of Neenah desert storm, die cutting some waves on top and sponging white pigment ink in the bottom, as clouds. Then, after mounting everything, I stamped the sentiment with white pigment ink in a piece of vellum and added a few enamel dots. I hope you like it!
Thank you so much for having me Naki, it was a true pleasure creating for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge!
