I have another card that I made last Sunday! This one is for the Share the Love Week Featuring Essentials by Ellen. In case you missed the start of this fun collaboration, you still have plenty of time to join in all the fun. Just link up your projects by July 3 to both Winnie & Walter and Ellen Hutson, and you might be the lucky winner selected by the popular Mr. Random. There are 5 fun challenges with 5 fun themes… now I’m giving you one extra challenge: try to say the last phrase very fast :).
This card is quite simple in what concerns to its construction, but I think the result is kind of wow, don’t you think? I just LOVE the effect of the smooshed inks on this specific textured Canson paper. I used Tombow markers and the new Ecoline markers to cover a piece of acetate with random colors, then added some splotches of water to smoosh the paper in.
I was inspired by the one and only Keren Baker when I decided not to trim one of the hearts. In fact I made a little heart shaped mini book for the Sentimental Challenge, using almost all the sentiments in the Essentials by Ellen stamp set. I glued together 5 heart shaped sheets of regular printer paper, adding a cover and back of watercolor paper. The cover has a layer of heat resistant acetate on top, with one of the sentiments heat embossed in black. With so much love in it, this card has to be dedicated to the love of my life :-*.
This card qualifies to, at least, three of the challenges, but I have other plans… so, I’ll be entering the Sentimental Challenge (Day 2) and the Background Building Challenge (Day 3). I’m also adding it as my second entry to The Gossip Column Nº 4 with Taheerah.
Stamps: EH – Love You So.
Dies: W&W – True Multifaceted Heart Cutaways.
Thank you for stopping by.
