I made a card for Altenew June Inspiration Challenge, yes I did. I haven’t entered Altenew challenges for some time, but I loved the inspiration photo, so…
I started with a piece of watercolor paper, a Tim Holtz stencil and Brushos. Then I stamped leaves and flowers from Vintage Roses stamp set. To create the semi transparent flowers I first stamped with the back of the solid rose in a piece of vellum (I’ll call it the back), using white pigment ink and heat embossing with iridescent EP. After that, turned the piece of vellum to the other side (front) and re-stamped with Versamark ink using one of the detailed layered flowers on top of the previous one, then heat embossed in white.
I ran some Versamark over Scrapiniec chipboard, heat embossing first in white and then in iridescent EP.
Die cut a label in black cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment in white, mounting everything with foam adhesive. To finish off the card, I added a few embellishments and some silver glitter washi tape.
I love how this card turned out, but some colors, like the ones here, are very tricky to photograph…
