Hello!

Today I have a card inspired by the sea, summer, ice cream… ok, there isn’t any ice cream, but it just fits the theme and I love ice cream, I just have to choose the healthy option… which is usually homemade.

This is a NS (No Stamping) card. I’ve just purchased some of these dies and I had to use them :). For the background I started with a piece of watercolor paper where I smooched Distress inks using a homemade stencil, made with the Hero Arts Triangle Background and acetate. Then die cut a piece of watercolour paper that I had previously inked using the same HA die and trimmed both sides by hand. Glued this piece to the background and foam mounted three orange fish coated with CWS. Die cut the sentiment and also coated with CWS. To finish off the card I added some transparent micro beads and bubbles. They look like droplets, but do you know what they really are? Protectors for drawers and doors! They are sticky back… and very inexpensive… and come in different sizes… I feel so smart right now :D.

I’m submitting this card to three challenges:

The Heart Desires Challenge #1 – This is a brand new challenge! Just check out the inspiration piece for this month… swoon! I used the three elements provided in my card – a luscious color palette, sea creatures and geometric shapes.

THD1

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 363 – The theme is “Under the Sea”, but you can also opt for the color palette. This is my first time entering this challenge.

Cupcake Inspirations Badge

Flickr Love group June challenge – This month the theme is “Diving into Summer”, anything that makes you think of summer, including ice cream:). If you wish to join in, the basic rules are:

Yes, it finally worked, lol! Thank you for visiting, Darnell! You just gave me an idea… if your prediction is correct, maybe I should open my own hardware store and start creating paper fish to sell in sets of Fish&Bubble :D.

I’m completely smitten with your card! The background is fabulous; the perfect canvas for your trio of goldfish. Drawer protectors as water-droplets? / Brilliant! Thrilled that you shared this gem in the Cupcake Inspirations Under the Sea challenge!
