Hello everyone!

Have you ever heard about Haiga? I didn’t. This theme, along with a mood board and color of month (red) was the inspiration for last February Art Daily Cafe. If you’d like to know more about this concept, Finnabair will explain what Haiga – Visual Poetry is:

“In Japanese tradition, Haiga are typically painted by haiku poets, and often accompanied by a haiku poem. A typical haiku is a three-line observation about a fleeting moment often involving nature.”

I made this very short, and fun, haiku poem illustrated with cherry blossoms and birds.

This is not a challenge, it’s just pure will of experimenting and stretching our creativity.

If you’d like to join in the fun, links are still open to add projects.

Thank you for looking.

Pleasing textures, Cris – and the poem goes so well with the imagery! Though I too just learnt about Haiga, I think you’ve done a brilliant job. 🙂

Beautiful! So now you’re into Haikus also, huh? Or should I say Haiga! 😀
Great job, Cris! Love the sakura layout and that refreshing poem too!
