Hi everyone!

I’ve been MIA lately, but I have a good reason. I’ve been learning and at the same time making some mixed media works and other stuff I love. There is a good side of creating without sharing, which is having your own happy place, as well as avoiding judgments, but then what’s the point of creating alone when we still have our own judgment… frequently harsher than any other. I’m trying to find a balance between both.

Today I have a mixed media book that I made a few weeks ago, but never shared.

I’m entering February ScrapEgo challenge for the first time, inspired by the stunning mood board below and by what the word Woman really means in all her tasks, while keeping a smile in her face. Sometimes at the end of the day she just needs to rest, but she will do one more task for others with gentleness in her heart.

Thank you for watching. Have a great day!

Absolutely gorgeous, Cris! Amazing textures, and you’ve nailed the mood board. I hope this book brings you joy every time you open it.
(Since one person’s meat is another’s poison, and we anyway can’t impress everybody, why worry about judgments? 😉 By the way, we definitely do judge ourselves more harshly than others.)

Oh, Cris, this takes my breath away! I would pay a bunch of money for a book with this stunning and exquisite cover! It evokes a lot of emotion in you and, in turn, in us. I can’t imagine anyone ever giving you anything but praise and encouragement ~ nor should you give yourself anything other than that! Hugs, Darnell

Finally able to comment here – not sure why, your website was not accessible for the longest time, and I was just about to mail you about it if I couldn’t access it today either!!
Coming to the actual purpose of me being here – what an amazing creation, my friend – gorgeous! A nice night time scene, but so gorgeously dreamy.. how do you even come up with these ideas, and then actually realize them?! I am continuously in awe!!

I forbid you from NOT sharing anything – we all enjoy it so much – as proven by the comments above. And try not to be so harsh on yourself, everything comes with another side – its like a coin, always has two side. If you are ever feeling down, you just need to scroll down and re-read all the comments – you’ve got a ton of fans, looking forward to what you create next, and I am one of them too!! 😀 😀

    Hi lovely friends!
Thank you for your kind words. I hope I didn’t sound like I was feeling bad or something like that. I love watching videos and tutorials of different crafts and crafters, but although I learn a lot, what was useful and inspiring can easily become overwhelming. That means settle down and just do my thing.
Judgments aren’t necessarily negative… we judge all the time, even if it is for positive support for others, like you just did ☺️. I can’t speak for others, but by judging my own work, I get to understand what I didn’t like, or want to keep, and that will make me improve. So, spending time alone is like therapy. Of course, there are also “not so good days”, but the best way of dealing with them is just ignore and take a nap ☺️.
    Hope to see you soon!
