Hi everyone! Hope that you started this day with sunshine and happiness.

I’m adding a (almost) last minute card for Altenew September challenge. In fact, I’ve started over a week ago, but only finished today. I LOVED the inspiration photo that Svitlana took, as also her stunning card, but I wasn’t pleased with the orange color for what I had in mind… I know I didn’t have to, but I like to keep the colors in the inspiration photo. In the end I managed to add a little bit of “rusty orange” and that finally pleased my crafty heart 😊.

I started by blending a few Oxide inks and regular Distress inks, onto the gorgeous Elegant Swirls stencil. I wanted the darkest shades on the left side of the card, mostly following the shape of the biggest swirl, so, around that shape, everything was lighter. Placed the stencil over the sponged areas again, grabbed my VersaMark ink pad, and after removing the stencil, heat embossed with clear EP. Then I blended Distress inks over the white areas.

I’m not usually an over embellishing kind of crafter, but this time I was… and I loved how it turned out!

The white embossed vellum leaves are from Engraved Flowers stamp set.

This is exquisite, Cris! I love that you clear-embossed after blending! (Note to self.) It’s a brilliant take on the challenge colors and I love the texture and awesome elements of that wreath and the border edge!! Hugs, Darnell

This is just the most charming card! Love the beautiful ombre effect you’ve created with the stencil. The texture created withthis and the vellum wreath and with all those embellishments is just wow!!
