Hello everyone!

Today I have a card for the Essentials by Ellen May Pin-Sights Challenge. Ok, I confess, I cheated… but just look at that background! Gorgeous, right? I used a washout free image of an amazing peony that I found here – http://www.remodelaholic.com/free-printable-vintage-floral-images/.

For more details, you can find this peony at Biodiversity Heritage Library – http://biodiversitylibrary.org/page/35413785. Contributing Library: University Library, University of Illinois Urbana Champaign.

I stamped and white heat embossed the heart onto woodgrain designer paper and did the same for the sentiment, stamping onto vellum. Cut out the biggest flower of Wild Garden and trimmed in half, added some gold embroidery floss and a few spatters of HS gold color shine. And that was it!

Supplies:

Stamps: EH – Love You So.

Dies: EH – Wild Garden; ME – Femme Frames; Sizzix Framelits – Squares.

For American friends – I wish you a Memorial Day filled with pride and warmth. May the brave be always remembered.

Thank you for stopping by.

Your card is beautiful! (And I don’t think it’s cheating – you just used some very special patterned paper.)

Love it!! That wash of peony is a fantastic find and a great addition. I don’t think its cheating, by the way – we use pattern papers all the time, don’t we??.
